Daylily yellow
Hemerocallis flava
0,85 m       0,6 m      Hardiness zone 3

Also known as “American leek,” the daylily yellow (Hemerocallis flava) is a force of nature that flowers profusely. Its slender leaves and yellow flowers are quickly renewed after harvesting.
Its peppery flower buds give way to blossoms that can be stuffed on the day of harvest, much like zucchini in Italy.
The tubers, which multiply particularly well in the tawny variety, can be boiled or enjoyed raw for their pleasant nutty flavor.
