Guillaume Pelland studied Horticultural production and environmental technologies at the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire in La Pocatière. In 2010, he paved the way for edible landscaping in Québec. At the 2012 Québec Entrepreneurship Contest, he received first prize in the Business Creation, Services to Individuals category.

In 2013, he pursued his ideals by creating Paysage gourmand on a picturesque site in Rawdon. An avant-garde nurseryman and landscaper, he built his business inspired by the principles of permaculture. He ecologically cultivates more than 450 varieties of edible perennials adapted to the climate.
