The columnar apple tree ‘Golden Treat’ (Malus domestica) is adorned with candy-pink blossoms in spring. The golden jewels, blushing as they soak in the sun, appear waxy. Crisp and quickly becoming sweet, they are ready to be harvested before autumn.

It shows good resistance to diseases, including scab. Producing at a young age, most columnar apple and crabapple trees bear fruit the year following planting. Their compact growth habit allows them to fit almost anywhere, even in pots on a sunny balcony.

Alternate varieties, spacing them about a meter apart, to create a fruiting hedge that offers much more than just privacy. The columnar apple tree ‘Golden Treat’ is part of the “Urban Series“, with all varieties in this series blooming mid-season and pollinating well with each other.
