Daisy 'Becky'
Chrysanthemum leucanthemum
The daisy ‘Becky’ (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum) is a versatile plant with many flavours. Its flower buds can be pickled in brine similar to capers, while its bright petals add a floral touch. The young leaves, soft and sweet in spring and autumn, are ideal for garnishing salads, even in summer. Use them to replace parsley in tabbouleh or to create an original pesto in place of basil. Perfect on a ‘Margherita’ pizza, it thrives in slightly acidic soils and brings a rustic touch to your garden.
