Pear tree 'Ure'
Pyrus communis x ussuriensis
5 m       4 m      Hardiness zone 2

Pear trees (Pyrus communis) are generally easier to cultivate than other commercial fruits, making them a good choice for heavy clay soils. The pear tree ‘Ure’ (Pyrus communis x ussuriensis) is an excellent pollinator for ‘Krazulya’. It boasts exceptional resistance to bacterial blight and insects.

The fruit is a very small, round pear that is sweet, tender, and juicy. It is flavorful right after harvest. This variety is highly productive. While it doesn’t store for long, it is exquisite when canned or dried. Remarkable in spring for its long white bloom tinged with pink, emitting a sweet fragrance.
