The plum tree ‘Damas bleu’ (Prunus domestica) is a legendary European variety said to have been brought from the Near East during the Crusades.
Similar in many ways to‘Mont Royal‘, its dark blue plums with juicy yellow flesh feature a striking nipple. Although self-pollinating, the ‘Damas Bleu’ plum offers higher yields when cross-pollinated with ‘Mont Royal’, among other plum trees.
