Raspberry 'Eden'
Rubus idaeus
1,5 m       De 0,4 à 0,6 m      Hardiness zone 3

The raspberry ‘Eden’ (Rubus idaeus) is a recent variety without thorns. A summer raspberry with early ripening, productive, fruiting on the canes of the previous year, long and upright. Its raspberries are larger than ‘Nova‘, tasty and sweet, pale red, easy to pick. Firm, it keeps exceptionally well. Vigorous, it performs quickly in hedges, where it is easier to appreciate their expansive suckers that can be managed with lawnmowers or with various hand tools allowing you to recover the tender shoots that you can eat like asparagus, raw or cooked, or in sweet herbal tea, before the invasion.

Choose its final location carefully, because if it is welcome to settle in any type of soil that drains well, comfortable in slightly acidic soil, it quickly becomes persistent and a little colon. Even if the plant does well, the harvest will be juicier if it does not suffer from drought. Enjoy picking raspberries that are ripe at the right time, from varieties selected for their flavor, sweeter than in stores, and cut the prices, which are increasingly high due to the labor-intensive picking time. The production of the raspberry ‘Eden’ begins in the 2nd year, and can decline due to diseases after 7 or 8 years of good harvests. Self-fertile.
Self-pollinating.
