The apple tree ‘Yellow Transparent’ (Malus domestica) is a hardy, early-ripening variety from Russia. Its translucent yellow skin, with a pink blush on the sun-facing side, encases white, juicy, crispy, and flavorful flesh, but it has a short shelf life. Its perfectly tart flavor makes it ideal for exceptional applesauce. Although it is sensitive to bacterial fire blight, it is resistant to apple scab.
