Chinese magnola vine 'Eastern Prince'
Schisandra chinensis
The Chinese magnola vine ‘Eastern Prince’ (Schisandra chinensis) promises clustered, drooping and decorative berries when the plant can climb, wrapping itself around a support. A bright red fruit, sweet (20%), protein (10%), to be used as a spice, tasty, having the five characters: sweet, salty, bitter, spicy and sour. You will harvest about 2 kilos of fruit per plant. The berries are known as one of the 50 fundamental products of traditional Chinese medicine. The stems and leaves make an excellent herbal tea and can transfer their aroma to all kinds of dishes. Cream-colored flower very strongly scented. Chinese magnola vine ‘Eastern Prince’ prefers exposure to partial shade and shade.
The variety ‘Eastern Prince’ is self-fertile, which allows you to plant it alone and still obtain a satisfactory production.
