The daylily peach-pink , also known as the “American leek,” is a force of nature and blooms profusely. Its slender leaves and peach-pink flowers are quickly renewed after harvesting. Its peppery flower buds give way to blossoms that can be stuffed on the day of harvest, much like zucchini in Italy.
The tubers can be boiled or enjoyed raw for their pleasant nutty flavor.
