Lavender 'Munstead'
Lavandula angustifolia
0,45 m       0,6 m      Hardiness zone 4

An English lavender with a compact shape, lavender ‘Munstead’ (Lavadula angustifolia) is the hardiest of all varieties! A safe bet as long as drainage is good and the roots are protected by mulch such as shredded ramial wood. It appreciates the warm sun which awakens its aromatic character. You can eat its flowers as well as its leaves to be harvested during the summer.
